Our History

Since its establishment in 1979, Luff Industries Ltd. has committed itself to providing products of exceptional quality and innovation. Our products and customer service are our greatest assets in the conveyor component industry. Luigi Fasoli, President of Luff Industries, started building and developing conveyor rollers in 1979. With a strong local economy and steady growth in the City of Calgary, Fasoli's home business quickly grew and he relocated to a larger facility in 1983. A pioneer in the conveying community, Fasoli created the polymer end cap in 1994, receiving a patent in 2001. This brilliant end cap design has become a center point in the conveying community, offering sealed bearing protection, reduced weight and increased corrosion resistance—increasing the life of your conveying system. The polymer end cap set Luff Industries apart from its competitors and built a foundation upon which Luigi Fasoli has continued to grow the business, which now manufactures from a state-of-the art facility located in Rocky View (Calgary), Alberta, Canada. This 66,000+ sq. ft. manufacturing facility uses advanced robotics and CNC machines to produce top-of-the-line products for companies across North America and around the world. While overseeing day-to-day operations, Fasoli has built a strong family business employing his wife, Valerie, and two sons Matthew and Robert, who now manage the business of over 90 employees. Offering a comprehensive product line including idlers, pulleys, impact beds, retrofits and accessories, Luff has seen year-to-year growth since its inception and continues to lead the conveyor market in quality, service, dependability and innovation.
