When weight is a concern, Luff Composite Rolls is the solution. Composite rolls retrofit into existing frames and can decrease the weight of the rollers up to 50% without losing load carrying capacity. They are complete with no maintenance SKF bearings and can include the High Moisture Seal for even more protection against contamination.

Available in 5” dia. CEMA C & D and 6” dia. CEMA C, D & E, up to 72” belt, Luff’s Composite Idlers decrease the weight of standard steel rollers by up to 50% without loving load carrying capacity. Abrasion resistance is provided by high-strength E-glass reinforcements and ultra-tough epoxy resin formula, making them corrosion resistant as well. Composite rollers are quieter than steel rollers, achieving a 12-15 dB sound emission reduction. Manufactured with polymer endcap to house the bearing and a mild steel shaft, the composite tubing is scale quality, delivering less than 0.015” TIR.

Industry leading warranty

Luff Industries Ltd. warrants that the products it manufactures are free from defects in material and workmanship, when used under normal operating conditions. The duration of this warranty is 24 months from the date of delivery, or 2,000 hours of operation, whichever occurs first.

If a defect is found to arise from manufacturing, the customer must notify Luff Industries Ltd. in writing, within 30 days from the date of failure before proceeding with repairs or returning the product. Luff Industries Ltd. will correct any defect in materials or workmanship by repair or replacement of the defective product. Luff Industries Ltd. shall not be responsible, under any circumstances, for more than the cost of repair or replacement of the defective product. Non-compliance of the above conditions can void the warranty and Luff Industries Ltd. will not be responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing the product.
